Are you going to the SABA Conference?
I recently shared some thoughts on the benefits of conferences for your career opportunities and satisfaction. One of the conferences I had in mind when I wrote this is the SABA conference.
For those of you not familiar, SABA is the South Asian Bar Association, and it has a national conference every year. This year it’s in my former stomping ground, Boston, July 20-23. One of the best cities to visit in the summer.
If you never thought about attending a conference like this, I highly recommend it. The thing about affinity bar associations is that ironically, they’re the best place to meet a variety of people. You’ll meet in-house, law firm lawyers from all over the nation and in a variety of practices (okay yes, a lot of IP and tech lawyers).
The conference is a great size - plenty of opportunity to mingle and meet new people or revisit old friendships. I’ve met real friends and found professional opportunities I never would have without this conference.
Are you going? Anyone you want to meet? Let everyone know in the comments.
